One day, only 22 years old, I was faced with a severe hair loss and no cure. And this is what happened!
“Good things take time. Be consistent and you will see results!”
My Background
All of my recommendations will be helpful for all ethnicities, genders and age groups experiencing thinning hair. I want you to have an understanding of my own hair type, ethnicity and hair loss journey as that may help you navigate through your own recovery.
I was born with thick, black, curly, Mediterranean type of hair. So much hair! I couldn’t run a comb through it and I could only wrap a regular hair tie once around my ponytail.
I have had many color transformations over the years and endured a lot of damage too, but my hair would always bounce back, beautiful and shiny.
The Hair Loss
In 2002 at age 22 I have left my home country. At age 24 out of the blue my hair started falling. Severe hair loss. 2 years of doctors drawing blood and trying to find the reason and a cure. Finally it was labeled ”the mystery hair loss” and I was handed a newspaper article talking about a mystery hair loss that expat women experience where my new home now was.
I was horrified. I was ready to pay any price and undergo any procedure. And I did- for years!
I spent tones of money on supplements, products, procedures, extensions, wigs. But… My hair was still falling and it just didn’t look good.
Fast Forward 2020
Although my scalp and hair are still sensitive and I am still paranoid about every single hair that decides to forever leave my head, my hairline is now full and I even dared to bleach it blond. It is not the thick bushy hair I once had, but it looks and feels normal again.
The one product I credit for my recovery is the Hair Potion. A formula that I have crafted and used over the years. After all, no product out there was working for me.
I know, you may be confused. A little known fact is that I am a cosmetics formulator. Ta da! It is a hobby for me, a passion, a calling if you will.
It runs in my family of healers, I grew up with many recipes for cures and cosmetics made in my grandmothers kitchen, made of herbs, clays and natural oils.
You can buy the Hair Potion on my website www.monjardinbotanique.com.
3 Ways to use the Hair Potion
As a leave on scalp treatment as described in the product description. You will need a French press!
As a hot or cold treatment oil. Using your favorite base oil, cover a handful of the herbal mix into a jar until the jar is full. Seal the lid tight and leave in a dark room for 2 weeks. Your oil treatment is ready to use and can be stored for a very long time. Strain the mix for your treatment, but leave the pulp in the main jar.
As a rinse. Make sure the Hair Potion is at room temperature. Poor it over your head after you have washed out all other products with water.

The Hair Potion will be the very last rinse. Give your scalp a gentle massage, squeeze out the excess water and wrap your head in a turban. This rinse will not only benefit your hair by absorbing in the scalp, but it will make your hair softer and shinier.
Supplements
I think of this supplement as a garden fertilizer. Only it is a hair fertilizer. My hair recovery approach is both external and internal. And this one supplement I can recommend wholeheartedly- the MSM Pure Coarse Flakes.
This is how I use the product:
For the first two weeks, add 1/8 of a spoon in a glass of water first thing in the morning. Make sure you drink plenty of water during the day!
Gradually increase by 1/8th until you reach to 1 tea spoon ( the recommended dose on the label).
I strongly advise you to build up tolerance slowly. You will see results even in your first week!
Styling Products
Needless to say, I have ditched the chemicals. I use 2 styling products:
- The MJB Root Lift Spray– after I wash and towel dry my hair, I sparingly spray the product in the roots of my hair in the direction I usually style my hair. Create volume using your fingers and ideally let your hair air dry.
- If I need to style my hair and I need a strong hold, I use the MJB Hair Spray. It is natural and organic, but it keeps a hold just like a professional salon spray.
The Wigs
Another craft I mastered over the years are my wigs and hair additions. Just because more hair is just more hair! It turned from a necessity to an extravagance. I just want to always have a perfect looking hair.
“We all know, that even the healthiest head of hair, sometimes wakes up to face a bad hair day…”

I do not take orders, nor I sell them on my website. They are really expensive and time consuming, there is lots of room disappointment, as colors may not be the same as you see them on your desktop or a mobile device.
Customization is necessary and there is no way to pick a hair piece out of the box and just have it perfectly blended and styled without the help of a pair of scissors and an experienced stylist. But who knows what the future holds. If I ever decide to dab into the deep waters of hair for sale, you my dear readers would be the first to know!
